Meet Daniel

Daniel John Landscapes is owned and run by Daniel John Painter, who has been trading for 18 years. Over that time he has built up practical experience across both landscaping and building work, and the business now covers everything from a single new patio to a complete garden renovation, as well as extensions and house renovations.

The business is based at 5 Gladstone Road in Sholing, on the east side of Southampton, and works across Southampton, Eastleigh, Romsey, Winchester, Portsmouth and the New Forest, travelling up to 30 miles for the right project.

Qualifications and insurance

Daniel holds NVQ Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications in carpentry. That training is put to use on timber work such as pergolas, sleeper edging, raised beds and other structures, where accurate measuring and solid joints make the difference between something that lasts and something that does not.

Daniel John Landscapes holds public liability insurance up to £1,000,000.

What we focus on

The two areas of work at the centre of the business are full garden renovations and patios. Alongside those, we offer fencing, new lawns, artificial grass, pergolas, outdoor living spaces, extensions and house renovations. You can see examples of completed work in our projects gallery.

How a project runs

It starts with a conversation about what you want from your space. Daniel then looks at the site, including the ground, levels and access, before preparing a quote for the work. Once you are happy to go ahead, the job is built in a sensible order so that each stage protects the last.

We work Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 2:00.
